Monday 16th June

Well we finally managed to leave Lennox Head, after our good friend Annie took some departing photos, for Toowoomba by way of the new bypass of Tugun. Then we travelled the Logan Motorway to Ipswich and eventually up the very big climb into Toowoomba.

On the way to Toowoomba, we stopped and a nice quiet lunch at a nice nursery cafe just off the highway just past Marburg.

We spent the night with friends, Nick and Celia. Our eldest son, Andrew, stayed in Nick and Celia’s home while we spent our first night away in our Kimberley Karavan. It was nice and warm on a cool Toowoomba night. We had a lovely dinner with all the above as well as a former neighbour from Mullaley days, Helen. Much chatting and of course that also included some lovely wines.
