10th August 2008

We had a lazy morning this morning. Both Prue and I had a morning off from either walking or cycling. Partly this was due to the departure of our Kimberley Karavan friends, Ian and Kay. They were leaving for the Bungle Bungle. We hope that they have more luck than we do. That is where we had our problems.

A little later in the morning, I refuelled the rental car and took it to the Kununurra Airport and parked it in the Hertz parking area. The keys were then placed in the receptacle inside the Airport terminal. Prue brought the Bravo out to collect me. Then back to the Caravan Park.

A cup of coffee was then had by us both. During this time, Prue had washing on and it had to be hung out to dry. This only takes a short time as the air is dry and warm.

A few more items were loaded into the Bravo and some readjustments on how they are packed in.

Then we went for another lunch at the Ivanhoe Farms Cafe. The backpacker staff, several from Germany and one from the UK, has seen us quite often and are so friendly. We said goodbye to them after lunch. They have been selected for their lovely personalities.

We returned back to Coles to pick up the final items before we depart for Halls Creek tomorrow. Also, we bought a chicken to have cold for lunch over the next several days.

Then back to the Caravan Park and some checking over the nuts and bolts of the Karavan and also the Bravo. All is in readiness for the trip starting again tomorrow.

This may be the last entry for about either 5 or 6 days. We plan to go past Halls Creek tomorrow and then on Tuesday, after Fitzroy Crossing, turn into Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge. On Friday, we will move to Derby and the Kimberley Entrance Caravan Park. That will most likely be the next time we add some entries.
