6th August 2008

Today was fairly quiet, after a ride on my bike and Prue had a bit of a walk.

The morning was taken up with sorting photos from the evening before. It is amazing how much time it takes. Just as well we are not travelling as the whole blog may be a little rushed.

About mid morning, we had a replacement air conditioner fitted to the Kimberley Karavan. It had been unserviceable for some time. It took 2 weeks for it to arrive from Brisbane. However, Sharon from Kimberley was happy to follow it up. The air conditioner was fitted by Stuart Lauder from Ice Age Refrigeration in Kununurra. He has been so helpful with this issue. Yesterday, was a novelty having cool air again. The day temperatures are almost every day in the 30 degree area. The evenings are getting down to about 15 degrees.

About the same time as the air conditioner was being installed, I made contact with the Insurance Company. They had finally agreed to repair the Mazda Bravo. The claims manager informed me that I was not to exceed the towing weights allocated to the Bravo by the manufacturer. They must think we are fools or something as this was gone through before we bought the Kimberley Karavan.

The main thing is that we may have it back tomorrow and the cost to us will be minimal except for the extra things we have done while the Bravo was unserviceable.

In the evening, we had celebratory drinks and nibbles with Ian and Kay. More red wine was had to celebrate. Then we had chicken and vegetables for dinner. Then off to bed to rest for another day in the East Kimberleys.
